Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

The preserved portion of this large tablet with wide intercolumnium is structured in short paragraphs and lists numerous festivals.

obv. i 4′: The festival ḫa-pu-uš-š[a?- … ] is not otherwise attested; a connection with ḫapuš- “to make up, to catch up” or with ḫapuš- “leg” is possible but uncertain.

obv. i 18′: A festival of the firstborn animals, cf. KUB 38.35.
